Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 12th that it held the 'Yangju City Regional Care Council Member Appointment Ceremony and Regular Meeting' on the 11th at the city hall situation room to discuss care-related issues.

The Yangju City Regional Care Council is composed of 15 members, including Kim Yu-yeon, Director of the Welfare and Culture Bureau of Yangju City as the chairperson, officials from the Dongducheon Yangju Office of Education, and private experts, in accordance with the 'Yangju City Together Care Support Ordinance.' The term of office is two years.
The Regional Care Council performs duties such as ▲ reviewing and advising on the regional care operation plan ▲ coordinating connections between care facilities ▲ conducting joint demand surveys with related facilities ▲ discovering and sharing information on best practices among care facilities.
The meeting proceeded in the order of ▲ new appointments of Regional Care Council members ▲ report on the composition and operation plan of the Regional Care Council ▲ status of the Together Care Project ▲ introduction of major care projects for 2025 ▲ discussion of current issues and exchange of opinions, during which various opinions were shared to eliminate blind spots in community care.
Kim Yu-yeon, Director of Welfare and Culture Bureau, said, “I ask the Regional Care Council members to devote their efforts to developing Yangju City's care projects based on their diverse experiences and expertise, and Yangju City will do its best to create a care environment where children are happy and parents can feel at ease.”
Meanwhile, to expand the 365 Village Care, a pledge of the 8th term of the elected government, Yangju City has been steadily expanding Together Care Centers since 2020 and currently operates seven Together Care Centers and 17 local children's centers.
