Yangju City Holds 'Year-End General Meeting and Task Training of the Yangju City Federation of Life Improvement Associations'

Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 12th that the Yangju City Federation of the Life Improvement Association (President Jang Gye-sook) hosted the "2024 Year-End General Meeting and Capacity Building Education of the Yangju City Federation of the Life Improvement Association" at the Yangju Agricultural Technology Center's main conference room on the 11th.

The event was attended by 76 members, including city executives and eup/myeon/dong executives belonging to the Yangju City Federation of the Life Improvement Association, and proceeded in the order of ▲2024 project settlement and activity performance ▲executive improvement ▲other discussions.


After the general meeting, as part of each member's unique skill, a practical education session on making cushions using napkin art, which is useful in daily life, was also conducted.


For the improvement of city federation executives who will lead the 17th term, Park Hwa-ja, the current vice president, was elected as president; vice presidents elected were Ra Hye-sook (current president of Baekseok-eup) and Hwang Kyung-ja (former president of Gwangjeok-myeon); auditors elected were Koo Young-sook (current president of Nam-myeon) and Ryu Geum-hee (current secretary-general). The inauguration and retirement ceremony will be held at next year's general meeting.


President Jang Gye-sook said, "During my more than four years as president, I focused on fostering rural women's organizations and strengthening member capabilities, but I regret not being able to carry out more projects due to COVID-19," and added, "I ask President Park Hwa-ja, who was elected as the next president, to devote herself wholeheartedly to strengthening the capabilities of rural women in the region."
