Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) held the "2nd Gwangjin Sharing Day" event on the 11th, jointly organized by the Gwangjin Welfare Foundation and the Seoul Social Welfare Community Chest, from 10 a.m. for six hours inside and outside the Gwangjin-gu Office.

This year marks the second "Gwangjin Sharing Day," which was created to express gratitude to outstanding donors helping neighbors in the community and to contribute to the spread of a sharing culture by linking with the "2025 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign," providing a platform for resident participation in donations.

Despite the cold weather, about 1,000 people including local residents, outstanding donors, sponsors, and guests attended to deliver warm hearts, making the venue packed.

The commemorative ceremony began with watching a promotional video of the Gwangjin Welfare Foundation (Chairman Kim Seok-hoe), followed by awarding plaques of appreciation to 40 outstanding donors helping neighbors, and the Honor Society induction ceremony for Kim Seok-hoe, Chairman of the Gwangjin Welfare Foundation, and Lee Jae-rim, Co-CEO of Borim Construction. Kim Jae-rok, Chairman of the Seoul Social Welfare Community Chest, personally presented plaques of appreciation and commemorative badges.

Next, the Warm Winter Declaration Ceremony and the unveiling of the Love Temperature Tower took place, followed by performances of pansori and a string duo.

The bazaar also attracted attention. Donated items included about 5,900 pieces across 28 categories such as shoes, clothing, and cosmetics. An auction of cherished items donated by popular singer Yoon Do-hyun, including stage costumes and books, also captured many people's interest. Outside the venue, a huge crowd of residents gathered to purchase over 2,200 pairs of shoes prepared for sharing.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, "I would like to express my respect and gratitude to Chairman Kim Seok-hoe of the Gwangjin Welfare Foundation, Chairman Kim Jae-rok of the Seoul Social Welfare Community Chest, and all related parties for organizing this meaningful event today. I also thank everyone who participated in the warm winter fundraising that melts the chilly weather warmly." He added, "We will continue to communicate more actively so that the culture of sharing spreads and all Gwangjin residents can be warm and happy."
