Yeongju City Continues Neighbor Aid Donations in 'Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign'

Daycare Center Association Donates 4,003,610 Won

On the 12th, Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk announced that the Yeongju City Daycare Center Association visited the city hall to donate 4,003,610 won to the Hope 2025 Neighbor Helping Fund.

Four representatives attended the donation ceremony, including Kim Mi-ok, president of the Yeongju City Daycare Center Association (director of Bohyeon Daycare Center), and Nam Song-ja, president of the National and Public Corporation Daycare Center Association (director of Sunheung Daycare Center). The donation was especially meaningful as it was collected through the shared piggy banks of daycare teachers, children, and parents, each contributing a small amount with sincerity.

The donated funds will be used to support vulnerable groups in Yeongju City through the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea.

Kim Mi-ok, president of the association, said, “I hope this neighbor-helping donation will further spread the Hope 2025 sharing campaign, and that it will be a small help for vulnerable groups to stay warm during the cold winter.”

Mayor Park Nam-seo expressed gratitude for the warm sharing practice of the Daycare Center Association and urged them to do their best to safely and healthily protect and nurture infants and young children.

Currently, 39 daycare centers operate in Yeongju City, serving 1,596 children. In particular, as a child-friendly city, Yeongju has been operating the Yeongju-style Holiday Daycare Center since April to create a better environment for raising children.
