West Sea Coast Guard Cheong Holds Meeting on 'Electric Vehicle Fire' Response Aboard Ships

Discussion on Measures by Prehistoric Periods... Fire Suppression Method Demonstration Also Held

The West Sea Regional Coast Guard Agency (Commissioner Lee Myung-jun) held the 2nd joint agency meeting on the 12th to respond to electric vehicle fire incidents on ferry vessels.

The West Sea Maritime Police Agency held the 2nd related agencies meeting on the 12th in the agency conference room to respond to electric vehicle fire accidents on ferry vessels. Provided by the West Sea Regional Maritime Police Agency

This meeting was held as a follow-up to the meeting in September involving related agencies and shipping companies regarding electric vehicle fires. It discussed the progress of each agency's measures to respond to electric vehicle fires and explored efficient response strategies for each agency and shipping company in case of such fires. Additionally, after the meeting, a fire suppression demonstration using electric vehicle fire extinguishing equipment was conducted to introduce various suppression methods.

Lee Myung-jun, Commissioner of the West Sea Regional Coast Guard Agency, stated, “Through continuous cooperation with related agencies in responding to electric vehicle incidents on vessels, we will further enhance safety at sea and do our best to protect public safety.”
