In Busan, a woman who introduced herself as a karaoke hostess called for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol.
On the 11th, at a rally for President Yoon's impeachment held in Seomyeon, Busan, a woman identified as Ms. A took the stage. She introduced herself by saying, "Nice to meet you. I work as a karaoke hostess at a hot spring over there, what you might call a bar woman."
Ms. A said, "I want to refute comments like 'What are you, an ignorant person, making a fuss?' and 'Do you think people will listen to someone like you?'" She added, "I know many people hold prejudices against me and may despise or point fingers at me, but today I have gathered the courage to stand here as a citizen of a democratic society to fulfill my rights and duties." She continued, "The reason I am here today is none other than to earnestly ask you one thing," and said, "That is to continue paying attention to politics and the marginalized citizens around us even after we safely get through this critical moment."

Ms. A stated, "We impeached Park Geun-hye, and we will impeach Yoon Suk-yeol as well, but at the same time, half of our people are those who voted for Park Geun-hye and Yoon Suk-yeol." She explained, "Because my house price went up, because we need to check North Korea, because the people in my community urged me, half of the people supported the People Power Party." She then asked, "Why do they do that? Even if we say it’s because they own land in Gangnam, why do men in their 20s and 30s who have nothing and elderly people support the People Power Party? It is due to the lack of civic education and the absence of appropriate communities to belong to," she argued.
Ms. A also emphasized, "We are standing in the midst of an era where right-wing extremism is accelerating worldwide. If we fail to stop this massive trend, another Yoon Suk-yeol will threaten our democracy." She concluded by saying, "So once again, I ask you to pay attention to the marginalized people around us. Also, please take an interest in democracy. Only your attention can save the vulnerable."
