Busan Port Authority Shares Warmth and Support with Communities Near the Port

Busan Port Authority (BPA) once again extended warmth to low-income and vulnerable groups in communities near Busan Port as the year-end approached.

BPA delivered electric mats and winter blankets worth 10 million KRW to Gangseo-gu, Busan, and provided furniture and home appliances worth 10 million KRW to the senior welfare center and rehabilitation center in Jinhae-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam. Additionally, Onnuri gift certificates worth 5 million KRW each were given to the respective local governments to offer more practical support to local residents.

This support was customized to reflect the needs of the local community. By allowing the beneficiaries to select the items they needed directly, it provided practical assistance and enhanced the effectiveness of the support and satisfaction within the community.

Since 2018, BPA has been steadily carrying out sharing activities to support vulnerable residents in need, aiming for mutual growth together with the local community.

Kang Jun-seok, President of BPA, stated, “Busan Port will continue to share and strive to expand its efforts to contribute not only to the regional economy but also to the improvement of community welfare.”
