Na Kyung-won on Han Dong-hoon’s 'Yoon treason confession': "Too light, even if light"

Na Kyung-won "Let's calmly reflect on the meaning of the President's statement"

Na Kyung-won, a member of the People Power Party, criticized Han Dong-hoon, the party leader, who described President Yoon Suk-yeol's national address on the 12th as a "confession of treason," saying it was "too frivolous."

Na stated in a post on Facebook that day, "The country is in turmoil. To resolve this confusion, we must follow the Constitution and legal procedures."

She added, "Let us all calmly reflect on the meaning of the president's address," and pointed out, "Now is the time to be rational."

She also urged, "Han Dong-hoon's reckless remarks about a confession of treason were far too lighthearted. At times like this, we all need to become more serious and cautious."

Furthermore, she emphasized, "We must unite our will around the new floor leadership and leadership to overcome the crisis for national stability and the stabilization of people's livelihoods."

Earlier that day, during a party members' meeting, Han criticized, "The president just delivered a national address that appeared to be pre-recorded. The content was not a reflection on the current situation but rather an attempt to justify it and effectively a confession of treason."

He then called for the party to adopt a stance in favor of impeaching President Yoon and announced the urgent convening of an ethics committee to discuss expulsion and removal of the president from the party.

When Na was asked at the afternoon party members' meeting held at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, whether she supported attending the vote on the impeachment motion against President Yoon, she replied, "I think it will be discussed again at the party members' meeting."
