Just before the last presidential election, writer Yoo Si-min appeared on a broadcast to share his thoughts on then-presidential candidate Yoon Seok-yeol. YouTube channel 'KBS Election Broadcasting Planning Team'

President Yoon Suk-yeol stated in a national address on the 12th that "the declaration of martial law was inevitable due to the tyranny of the major opposition party," bringing renewed attention to remarks made by writer Yoo Si-min, who predicted during the last presidential election that Yoon would become a "tyrant."

Writer Yoo appeared on KBS's 'Let's Do Politics 2' from December 2021 to February of the following year, making predictions about then-candidate Yoon. The video currently has 1.85 million views on YouTube and continues to gain popularity.

"After an Overwhelming Opposition Majority, Approval Ratings Will Plummet"

Yoo said, "(If Yoon becomes president) the National Assembly will overwhelmingly be dominated by the opposition, and soon after, his approval ratings will plummet," adding, "Relations with the National Assembly will not be very smooth. Parliamentary relations are not something that can be resolved by inviting them to a dinner and having a drink together." He continued, "Looking at Yoon Suk-yeol's language, cooperation is out of the question, and dialogue and compromise seem nearly impossible. Considering Yoon's language and behavior, it is almost impossible to expect political skill from him."

Writer Yoo, who also predicted during the 18th presidential election that candidate Park Geun-hye would lead a eunuch-style government, said, "I was heavily criticized for saying that Park Geun-hye would be a foolish monarch who could not discern right from wrong, like a Joseon dynasty ruler," and added, "If Yoon is elected, I worry he will become a tyrant beyond just a foolish monarch because (Yoon) is fundamentally not very intelligent."

The video has recently regained attention following the martial law situation, sparking various opinions among netizens.
