A Stepping Stone for Challenge and Growth, Growing Through Reward System Activities
Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 12th that the Geochang-gun Youth After-School Academy was selected as an Excellent Award Center at the ‘2024 Youth Award Ceremony’ held at Lotte World Tower SKY 31 Convention and received the ‘Korea Youth Activity Promotion Agency President’s Award.’
The Youth Award Program is a program where youth set self-directed goals and develop their potential and life skills through continuous activities in four areas: volunteer work, self-development activities, physical training, and exploration activities.
The Korea Youth Activity Promotion Agency holds an award ceremony every year to discover excellent activity cases and promote the spread of the program.
The Geochang-gun Youth After-School Academy has been operating the Youth Award Program since 2017 and has certified the achievements of a total of 109 participants, including 20 Gold Awards, 34 Silver Awards, 47 Bronze Awards, and 8 International Youth Achievement Award Bronze Awards.
As a result, it has continuously achieved excellent results, receiving the Korea Youth Activity Promotion Agency President’s Award for Excellent Operating Institution in 2021 and for Excellent Leader in 2020 and 2023.
In particular, this year, it was honored to be selected as an Excellent Award Center in recognition of its award production performance and the continuity and excellence of its operation over the past three years.
County Governor Gu In-mo said, “I wholeheartedly applaud the achievements made by the youth and the Youth After-School Academy through the award program activities so far,” and added, “We will continue to support youth so that they can demonstrate their spirit of challenge and potential based on self-directedness.”
Meanwhile, Geochang Heungsadan is recruiting participants for the Youth Achievement Award Program (self-development type and international type) for youth aged 7 to 24 throughout the year on a rolling basis.
