Hapcheon-gun and Korea Tourism Organization Sign Agreement to Promote Tourism Activation

Hapcheon Video Theme Park and Hwangmaesan County Park
Significantly Lower Barriers for Tourists

On the 12th, Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province, and the Korea Tourism Organization signed a "2025 Open Tourism Site Development and Barrier-Free Tourism Activation Business Agreement" at the Nine Tree Premier Locus Hotel in Seoul, attended by officials from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Tourism Organization, and local governments selected for open tourism sites.


This agreement marks Hapcheon-gun joining hands with the Korea Tourism Organization to become a barrier-free tourism city where everyone, including people with disabilities, the elderly, families with infants and young children, and pregnant women, can enjoy travel conveniently.

Based on this agreement, the county expects to strengthen exchange and cooperation with the Korea Tourism Organization, advancing Hapcheon into a tourism city that satisfies all visitors, including vulnerable tourists, and a sustainable barrier-free tourism city that people want to revisit.


Additionally, Hapcheon-gun was recently selected for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's "2025 Open Tourism Site Contest" with Hapcheon Film Theme Park and Hwangmaesan County Park. A total budget of 1 billion KRW will be invested in creating barrier-free routes, developing experiential open tourism content, and providing barrier-free tourism information, aiming to vigorously promote the tourism industry in various ways.


County Governor Kim Yoon-cheol stated, "We will do our best to make Hapcheon Film Theme Park and Hwangmaesan County Park, which are attracting attention as four-season tourist destinations, into travel destinations for everyone through the open tourism site development project."
