This event was organized by the Gyeongbuk Women's Organizations Council to evaluate the activities of women's organizations within the province and to share best practices.
The Best Institution Award recognized the contributions of local governments supporting the activities of women's organizations, while the Best Organization Award was judged based on the activation of the organization and various activity achievements.
Gumi City stood out in overall women's policies, including expanding women's economic and social participation, enhancing community safety, and creating a family-friendly environment, achieving designation as a Women-Friendly City for the third consecutive year. In particular, high praise was given for efforts to strengthen the capabilities of local women and contribute to the spread of a gender-equal culture through support for the Women's Organizations Council.
The Gumi City Women's Organizations Council has continuously engaged in activities such as women's empowerment education, a childcare daddy photo exhibition, and traditional market shopping events. This year, they actively promoted new projects including a women's policy town hall meeting, a low birthrate overcoming campaign, and scholarship foundation donation activities, thereby strengthening communication with the local community.
