'2024 Venture Startup Promotion Meritorious Service' Support Institution Sector Highest Honor Award
The Small and Medium Business Corporation announced on the 12th that it has been awarded the Presidential Citation, the highest honor in the support institution category of the '2024 Venture Startup Promotion Merit'.
The '2024 Venture Startup Promotion Merit' is a government award hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and organized by the Korea Venture Business Association, recognizing individuals and organizations that have contributed to the activation of venture startups.
Lee Byung-chul, Vice President of the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (right), is taking a commemorative photo after receiving the Presidential Citation, the highest honor in the support organization category, at the '2024 Venture Startup Promotion Merit' event held on the 11th.
The Small and Medium Business Corporation received the honor in recognition of its contributions to revitalizing the venture startup ecosystem, including operating the Startup Academy and providing complex financial support to expand startup funds and private investment.
Kang Seok-jin, President of the Small and Medium Business Corporation, stated, “We will continue to strengthen collaboration with related organizations, global large corporations, and ACs and VCs to enhance synergy for the innovative growth of domestic venture startups,” adding, “The Small and Medium Business Corporation will take the lead in actively supporting startups to overcome domestic limitations and become key players in the global economy.”
