Samsung Electronics unveiled the 'Galaxy Book5 Pro' equipped with the 'AI Select' feature to target the artificial intelligence (AI) PC market. AI Select allows users to draw a circle on the touch screen to instantly search, and drawing a circle on a QR code on the screen enables easy URL execution.

On the 12th, Samsung Electronics introduced the new Galaxy Book5 Pro at Samsung Gangnam in Seocho-gu, Seoul. The Galaxy Book5 Pro is equipped with both Galaxy AI and Microsoft's Copilot+ PC features. Notably, it is the first in the Galaxy Book series to apply the Galaxy AI-based AI Select feature.

The AI Select feature enables quick searches by drawing or dragging a circle on the touch screen without entering separate search terms when there is an image or text of interest. It can be used in various situations requiring searches such as web browsing, shopping, and content viewing. Users can copy only the text within an image for document work, and simply drawing a circle on a QR code on the screen executes the URL.

Additionally, it is equipped with the 'Intel Core Ultra Processor Series 2 (codename Lunar Lake)' supporting up to 47 TOPS (47 trillion operations per second) of neural processing unit (NPU) performance, enhancing its capabilities. Based on NPU performance, it supports the AI upscaling 'Photo Remaster' feature, which precisely restores old photos and converts low-resolution images into high-resolution ones. The Copilot+ PC feature will be sequentially added through future updates.

With a touch display applied, intuitive AI feature usage is possible, and to provide a clear screen experience, it uses a high-resolution Dynamic AMOLED 2X display supporting 'Vision Booster.' It features an anti-reflective panel and a 'Staggered HDR' camera that delivers vivid images, and Dolby Atmos is applied to the four speakers. It is equipped with a large-capacity battery that can last up to 25 hours, and the touchpad detection area is more finely segmented to assist precise work.

Users can connect with Galaxy smartphones or tablets to use features such as 'Quick Share' for easy sharing of photos, documents, and files; 'Multi Control' to control smartphones and tablets with the PC’s keyboard and mouse; and 'Second Screen' to extend or mirror the PC screen on a tablet for dual monitor use. It will be available in two models, 35.6 cm (14-inch) and 40.6 cm (16-inch), in gray and silver colors, launching on the 2nd of next month.

From the 16th to the 31st, Samsung.com will hold a notification sign-up event offering discount coupons. Samsung stated, "Specifications regarding the product’s features, performance, design, price, and components may change during mass production and release."
