Jongno-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jeong Munheon) will hold the '2024 Jongno Cheonggye Night, Let's Play' event on the 19th and 20th of this month at Gwancheoldong Youth Street.
The event aims to promote the Jongno Cheonggye Tourism Special Zone to passing citizens and domestic and international tourists, and to revitalize the local commercial district. Jongno-gu plans to install a large tree and lighting decorations so visitors can enjoy the year-end and Christmas atmosphere.
This event is composed of programs themed 'A Winter Story of Youth and Romance,' including 'Play Light' (photo zone), 'Play Memories' (social media event), and 'Play Together' (discount coupon book).
Anyone can take commemorative photos at the Youth Street photo zone and create special memories, as well as participate in social networking service (SNS) events. Participation is possible by accessing five channels: YouTube Jongno TV, blog, Instagram, KakaoTalk, and Danggeun.
Jongno-gu will conduct various experiential events including random prize draws and caricature drawing, and distribute discount coupon books and maps that can be used at stores in the area.
District Mayor Jeong Munheon stated, “We will continue to present substantial events and programs that help small business owners.”
