Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon held a one-person protest in Suwon on the 11th, demanding the immediate arrest of President Yoon Seok-yeol.
Governor Kim held a sign reading "Arrest Yoon Seok-yeol Immediately! Impeach Immediately!!" at Nahye-seok Street in Ingye-dong, Suwon, around 6:30 p.m., right after finishing work, and staged a solo protest.
Governor Kim also explained the necessity of arresting President Yoon in response to questions from citizens who saw the sign.
Earlier, Governor Kim had posted a series of critical messages on social media regarding the emergency martial law situation, stating, "We must not allow a coup perpetrator to exercise military command authority. Arrest and impeachment must proceed simultaneously."
Following his visit to the candlelight vigil in front of the National Assembly on the 7th, when the impeachment motion against President Yoon was submitted to the plenary session, Governor Kim also participated in candlelight vigils in Seoul on the 9th and 10th after finishing his work.
Governor Kim plans to continue attending impeachment rally sites as long as it does not interfere with provincial administration.
