Opening of 'Hwaseong-si SME Support Center' at Dongtan 2 Incubating Center

Providing Customized Services for SMEs such as Startup and Market Development Support

The 'Hwaseong City Small and Medium Business Support Center' has opened in the advanced industrial complex within Dongtan New Town, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province.

On the 11th, Hwaseong City held an opening ceremony for the 'Hwaseong City Small and Medium Business Support Center' on the first floor of the Dongtan 2 Incubating Center located in Yeongcheon-dong, attended by Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun and about 150 small and medium business officials.

The center is equipped with facilities such as counseling rooms, an info desk, a business lounge, and meeting rooms. Here, various customized services for small and medium enterprises will be provided, including ▲consultation services on policy funds, startup counseling, industrial property rights, investment linkage, certification, and market development support ▲operation of a business lounge for corporate networking ▲corporate consulting education and lectures ▲one-stop counseling desk operation ▲linkage with corporate support institutions.

In particular, the city plans to implement support measures for small and venture companies and prospective entrepreneurs through business agreements with Hwaseong Industrial Promotion Agency, Hwaseong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gyeonggi Job Foundation, KTR, Korea Technology Finance Corporation, Industrial Bank of Korea, and Suwon University, focusing on ▲development of Hwaseong Dongtan Technopol Venture Business Promotion District ▲customized job counseling and education ▲testing and certification ▲technology, funding, and venture certification ▲startup and industry-academia cooperation.

Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun of Hwaseong said, "With the opening of the Hwaseong City Small and Medium Business Support Center and the launch of Hwaseong Special City next year, we will grow Hwaseong into the world's best corporate city that turns imagination into reality."

Earlier, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups designated the Dongtan area of Hwaseong as the 'Hwaseong Dongtan Technopol Venture Business Promotion District' in October. Along with this, the city is expanding support for local small and venture companies through the operation of various corporate support facilities such as the Hwaseong City Startup Support Platform, Dongtan Small Business Complex Support Center, Digital Trade Comprehensive Support Center (deXter), and managing a startup investment fund worth 68.7 billion KRW.

Following the opening of the center, the city plans to open the 'Small and Medium Business Support West and South Center' within the Hwaseong Industrial Promotion Agency located in Bongdam-eup in July next year.
