Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju City announced on the 11th that it ranked first among autonomous districts in the management resources category of the '2024 Korea Local Autonomy Competitiveness Index.'
This index analyzes over 40,000 data points such as statistical yearbooks and materials from each local government annually to select and announce outstanding local governments.
The district scored 199.6 points in the 'management resources' category, which measures human resources, urban infrastructure, and industrial base, ranking first among autonomous districts nationwide.
Park Byung-gyu, the district mayor, said, "We will strengthen local autonomy competitiveness by utilizing excellent resources."
