At the signing ceremony, 15 people attended, including Lee Seoyong, chairman of the Residents' Autonomy Council, Vice Chairman Ahn Hyeongju, and six other council executives, as well as With Career Vice President Yoon Heeyoung, Secretary General Kim Taemi, and three representatives of the Career-Holding Women Didimdol Project clubs.
Through the agreement, the council and With Career agreed to promote the joint development of the local community based on close communication and collaboration, and to cooperate in various aspects to revitalize the programs of the 11 residents' autonomy centers in Gwangju-si along with With Career's Didimdol project for career-holding women.
Chairman Lee Seoyong said, "This agreement will not only serve as an opportunity to activate the residents' autonomy center programs but also provide job opportunities to those who have completed the instructor training courses participating in the project through mutual cooperation and communication. Furthermore, we expect that Gwangju citizens will be given broader cultural learning opportunities."
Meanwhile, the Career-Holding Women Didimdol Employment Support Project is a new initiative launched by the women-friendly city of Gwangju-si in 2024. It supported women interested in employment and entrepreneurship to grow into professional workers through advanced learning, mentoring, and consulting. A total of 31 professional instructors were trained in four fields: horticultural therapy, gender equality, children's reading, and math guidance.
