‘Making Myself Valuable Through Donation, Making Pohang Valuable Through Donation’ Slogan

Donation Campaign Runs for 62 Days from December 1 to January 31

On the 10th, Pohang City held the launch ceremony of the ‘Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign’ at the Pohang Summit Convention, urging warm interest and participation from local residents.

This campaign is a year-end neighbor-helping sharing event hosted by the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea and sponsored by Pohang City.

This year, under the slogan “Make Myself Valuable Through Donation, Make Pohang Valuable Through Donation,” the campaign runs for 62 days from the 1st of this month until January 31st of next year.

The event was promoted in conjunction with the 2024 Pohang City Eup, Myeon, and Dong Community Security Council members’ workshop, with about 300 attendees including Mayor Lee Kang-deok, City Council Chairman Kim Il-man, Co-Chairman of Pohang City Community Security Council Choi Jae-young, and Chief Representatives of Eup, Myeon, and Dong Community Security Councils Kang Seok-am, praying for the successful progress of the campaign.

Additionally, a performance announcing the launch of the Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign was held, along with activities such as hanging the Fruit of Love.

In particular, the Pohang City Fruit of Love Sharing Volunteer Group, selected as an excellent volunteer group and awarded the Gyeongbuk Community Chest Chairman’s Award, received 50 sets of excellent volunteer group winter supply kits worth 5 million KRW as a prize, which will be delivered to 50 households vulnerable to the cold wave.

Donations to the Fruit of Love can be made during the campaign period through QR codes and Eup, Myeon, and Dong administrative welfare centers.

Mayor Lee Kang-deok said, “Thanks to the warm hearts of citizens last year, we were able to deliver hope to neighbors in need,” and added, “I ask for the interest and participation of all citizens so that the culture of sharing can spread further and create a warm Pohang where everyone participates together.”
