The '3rd Digital Finance Talent Development Forum' aimed at transforming Busan into a global financial hub was held on the afternoon of the 11th at the Pukyong Convention Hall of the National Pukyong National University.
Co-hosted by the Department of Digital Finance at National Pukyong National University and the Korea Digital Finance Promotion Agency (Director Lee Hyun-gyu), and organized by the Korea Internet and Electronic Commerce Society (President Kim Jong-ho), this event was conducted under the theme "Busan's Digital Asset Revolution Opening the Future of Finance."
Attendees included Lee Kyung-sik, Vice Chairman of the Korea Exchange; Kim Gu-young, Vice President of SK Broadband; Choi Jung-geun, Vice President of ITCEN Group; as well as officials from Busan City, BNK Financial Group, Busan Ilbo, Bion Media, Global Fintech Industry Promotion Center, and academic and industry representatives such as Kim Jong-ho, President of the Korea Internet and Electronic Commerce Society, and Oh Chang-gyu, President of the Korea Information Systems Society.
The forum began with a keynote speech by Kim Sang-min, CEO of Busan Digital Asset Exchange, titled "Target 2026 Blockchain City Busan," followed by presentations from experts in the digital finance field exploring ways to revitalize the digital finance industry and establish a foundation for digital asset trading.
The presentations included: △ "How Far Can Digital Assets Be Trusted?" (Professor Lee Soo-jung, Department of Digital Finance, National Pukyong National University) △ "A New Paradigm in the WEB 3.0 Financial Era - RWA Tokenization" (Im Dae-hoon, CEO of Credere) △ "The Convergence of AI and Digital Finance - Connecting the Future of Telecommunications and Finance" (Jo Ho-geun, Executive Director of Enterprise Consulting, Connectivity Business Division, SK Broadband).
Lee Hyun-gyu, Director of the Korea Digital Finance Promotion Agency and Head of the Department of Digital Finance at National Pukyong National University, stated, "Through this forum, I hope it becomes an opportunity for in-depth discussions on digital finance and digital asset trading, as well as to explore strategies for Busan to advance as a global digital finance industry hub and for talent development in related fields."
The Korea Digital Finance Promotion Agency has been hosting the Digital Finance Talent Development Forum since 2022 to disseminate research achievements aimed at revitalizing the digital finance industry.
