Master Singer Ansukseon Journey on the 14th at 3 PM
Namwon City in Jeollabuk-do announced on the 11th that a "Three Masters, Three Styles" Ryu School Pansori (Heungboga, Chunhyangga, Jeokbyeokga) performance by master singer Ahn Sook-sun will be held at 3 p.m. on the 14th.
This Ryu School Pansori performance features three master singers, who have never been seen together in one place before, showcasing pansori in their unique styles.

The first performer, Master Kim Cha-kyung, currently serves as the artistic director of the Jeollabuk-do Provincial Gugak Institute’s Changgeuk troupe. She is a disciple of Master Manjeong Kim So-hee and will perform Manjeong-style Heungboga, from "Heungbo’s children asking for food" to "Swallow’s journey."
The second singer, Master Kim Mina, a native of Namwon and currently the director of Master Ahn Sook-sun’s Yeojeong, will sing Manjeong-style (Kim So-hee body) Chunhyangga learned from Master Ahn Sook-sun. This Chunhyangga was newly arranged by Kim So-hee during the Japanese colonial period by selecting the best parts from the five master singers’ performances. From the "Ten chapters" to the scene where Bangja carries a letter and goes up to Hanyang, this sound can be appreciated through Master Kim Mina in the "Three Masters, Three Styles" performance.
The final performer, Master Heo Jeong-seung, who won the presidential award in the Pansori master division at the 49th Chunhyang Gugak Competition, will perform Park Bong-sul style Jeokbyeokga, from "Jwaryong shooting arrows" to "Sae Taryeong." This section depicts Cao Cao’s defeat in battle and his soldiers becoming vengeful spirits resenting him.
A city official stated, “This performance, featuring the leading bodies representing Korean pansori, offers citizens a rare opportunity to enjoy diverse pansori flavors in one place through the 'Three Masters, Three Styles' Ryu School Pansori performance. We ask many citizens and tourists to attend.”
