Active Promotion of Regional Specialized Project 'Cheongjeongjayeon Atopy Zero Green School'
Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Jeon Jin-seon) announced on the 11th that it was selected as an excellent institution for the Atopy and Asthma Prevention and Management Project at the ‘2024 Atopy and Asthma Prevention and Management Project Performance Competition’ held on the 10th, receiving the Director Award of the Gyeonggi-do Atopy and Asthma Education Information Center.

To prevent atopy and asthma, the county has actively promoted region-specific projects such as operating 67 Atopy and Asthma Safe Schools, conducting prevalence surveys at Safe Schools, providing allergy education for Safe School students, offering academy education for Safe School teachers, supporting moisturizers and medical expenses, and operating three Clean Nature Atopy Zero Green Schools.
The Green Schools (selected from Atopy and Asthma Safe Schools) are a Yangpyeong-gun specialized project aimed at preventing symptom aggravation and recurrence in children with atopy and asthma within the area, and making Yangpyeong a clean environment where atopy patients can also live comfortably.
Through this project, the county conducted specialized allergy disease education for students and parents, atopic dermatitis prevention and management puppet shows, and forest experience programs, receiving great responses from participants.
In particular, three educational institutions in Yangdong-myeon (selected from Atopy and Asthma Safe Schools)?Yangdong Elementary School, Yangdong Elementary Attached Kindergarten, and Yangdong Daycare Center?actively participated in the region-specific project, and health teacher Kwon Sang-hee of Yangdong Elementary School received the Gyeonggi Province Governor’s Award.
In 2025, the county plans to select two educational institutions in Danwol-myeon as Clean Nature Atopy Zero Green Schools and expand the program.
Health Center Director Bae Myeong-seok said, “Yangpyeong-gun will continue to expand the operation of Atopy and Asthma Safe Schools and promote region-specific projects such as Clean Nature Atopy Zero Green Schools, providing education and various projects on allergic diseases to create a clean and healthy Yangpyeong city where not only atopy patients but everyone wants to live.”
