The S-OIL Ulsan Plant recently donated 100 million KRW in heating oil support funds to the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Jeon Yeong-do) on the 11th to help energy-vulnerable groups in the Ulsan area who are struggling with heating costs during the winter season.

The donation from S-OIL will be used to support heating expenses for energy-vulnerable groups selected through the Ulsan Social Welfare Council, including grandparent-headed households, elderly living alone, people with disabilities, multicultural families in the Ulsan area, and seven social welfare facilities.

Attending the event, S-OIL Executive Director Park Seong-hoon said, “With a cold wave expected this year as well, we hope that S-OIL’s heating cost support will help neighbors in the Ulsan area who are facing economic difficulties in winter to reduce their heating cost burden and live warmly. As a company growing together with the community, S-OIL will continue to pay attention to neighbors in need and actively engage in social contribution activities.”

An S-OIL representative stated, “Due to rising heating oil prices and unpredictable winter cold waves, vulnerable groups try to reduce heating expenses but end up facing threats to their health and safety. S-OIL’s heating oil support goes beyond simple energy cost assistance and directly impacts the protection of vulnerable groups’ winter survival rights and maintenance of health during the winter.”

In addition to supporting heating costs during the winter, S-OIL carries out various social contribution activities for neighbors in need in the Ulsan area, including scholarships for children of partner company workers, support for crime victims, and assistance for vulnerable groups in the Onsan area.
