Since establishing the Kolon Disabled Sports Team in 2021 with the purpose of fulfilling corporate social responsibility through the development of disabled athletes' capabilities, Kolon Group has continued its support. Currently, a total of 125 athletes across 10 sports are active under major subsidiaries of Kolon Group. Kolon Group is expanding its support by continuously recruiting athletes through business agreements with organizations such as the Gyeonggi-do Disabled Sports Association and the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled.
Practical support for improving athletes' skills is also ongoing. Kolon Group provides sportswear, team uniforms, and training facilities such as the sports center 'Kolon Sporex' operated by Kolon Global. Additionally, dedicated staff with relevant certifications, including physical education instructors and coaches specialized in disabled sports, are assigned to offer personalized solutions for training schedules and diets, fostering rapid growth of the athletes.
Song Seunghoe, head of the Kolon Disabled Sports Team, stated, "Kolon Disabled Sports Team athletes not only achieve excellent results but also raise the pride of employees and contribute to improving awareness of disabilities, thereby advancing organizational culture.
