Mayor Baek Gyeong-hyeon: "Hope this was a time to deeply understand future technological possibilities through drones"
Education provided for 16 youths from 4th grade elementary to 3rd grade middle school
The Guri City Youth Foundation (CEO Kang Jong-il) Youth Training Center announced on the 11th that it successfully operated the 2nd and 3rd sessions of the ‘Drone-na~ Into the World of Drones!’ program, aimed at fostering creativity and problem-solving skills among youth and nurturing future talents through drone education, a core technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
This ‘Drone-na~ Into the World of Drones!’ program was conducted for 16 youths from 4th grade elementary to 3rd grade middle school students, providing comprehensive theoretical education on drones and practical, in-depth training from basic to advanced piloting skills.
In particular, participants were able to gain not only theoretical knowledge of drones but also hands-on experience through actual flight practice. By forming teams to play soccer games using drones, they had the opportunity to cultivate teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
Baek Kyung-hyun, Chairman of the Guri City Youth Foundation, said, “This drone education provided a valuable opportunity for youths to directly experience the latest technology,” adding, “I hope the participants developed creativity and cooperation through drones and gained a deep understanding of the future technological possibilities.”
Meanwhile, the Guri City Youth Foundation Youth Training Center plans to continuously expand future technology education through more diverse programs so that the next generation of talents can lead the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
