Dongmyeong University Department of Media Communication, Students and Professors Unite for 'Department Podcast Broadcast'

All professors and students of the Department of Media Communication at Dongmyung University have stepped up as promotional marketers for the department.

The main players are the department podcast broadcasting team, ‘TU Media Room,’ which quickly covers and delivers news about department activities.

Composed of second-year students this year, TU Media Room (advised by Professor Jeong Mi-young) consists of 10 third- and fourth-year students from the department (Go Da-jung, Kwak Seo-hyun, Park Eon-ji, Ha Neul-oreum, Kim Mi-jo, Kim Hye-min, Seo Jae-min, Oh Min-seon, Lee Dong-hyun, Lee Dong-hee) who swiftly cover department news, arrange interviews, write articles, select music, do dubbing, and handle audio editing and production, demonstrating their capabilities as one-person media content creators managing the entire podcast process. Following the 11th broadcast in April, the 16th broadcast is scheduled for December 20.

TU Media Room is linked with the Career and Major Deepening Program (CUP), one of the extracurricular programs offered by the Teaching and Learning Support Center, strengthening practical skills beyond major classes and producing a twofold effect of enhancing field capabilities and increasing employment rates.

Professor Jeong Mi-young, who directs and hosts TU Media Room, said, “Students produce podcast broadcasts and upload them to the department’s YouTube channel, fostering interest and pride in the department. I find it rewarding to play a role in igniting the students’ passion.”
