The Ministry explained that the 2025 budget was prepared focusing on key agricultural policy tasks to achieve results in areas such as strengthening farmers' income and management safety nets, responding to rural extinction and spatial regeneration, expanding growth engines for the agro-food industry, stabilizing supply and demand of agricultural and livestock products, and enhancing food security.

During the National Assembly budget review process, the budget was partially reduced (-8 billion won) mainly for projects requiring adjustment due to uncertain execution next year. Specifically, these include export industrialization of pet-related industries (-4 billion won), comprehensive support for the animal pharmaceutical industry (-2 billion won), and advancement of food service (-1.4 billion won).

A Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs official stated, "We plan to thoroughly prepare for budget execution by promptly preparing the necessary procedures for project implementation so that the 2025 budget can help resolve difficulties in agriculture and rural areas and contribute to making agriculture and rural areas spaces of opportunity open to all citizens."
