The ‘Mobile Mayor’s Office’ is one of the key policies of the 8th elected administration and is operated about once a week on average to communicate directly with citizens and hear vivid opinions from the field.
To actively reflect citizens’ voices in city administration, about 70 people including Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju City, parent association presidents from over 40 elementary schools, and city officials attended the event to discuss directions for educational development.
At the event, various educational issues were discussed, including ▲measures to resolve overcrowded classes ▲solutions to student human rights issues ▲improvement of traffic signal systems on school routes ▲safety issues related to electric kickboards and bicycles ▲and maintenance of harmful environments around schools.
A parent who participated in the event said, “It was a meaningful occasion to meet the mayor directly and share honest opinions,” adding, “We ask for continued interest and support so that Paju can become an educational city where both children and parents are happy.”
Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju City stated, “Based on the valuable opinions shared today, we will prepare customized educational policies for children and do our best to make Paju a city good for raising children.”
