Gwanglim, a company specializing in mobile cranes and special purpose vehicles, has achieved a milestone of cumulative exports worth 50 million USD (approximately 70 billion KRW).

The Export Tower Award is given by the Korea International Trade Association and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to companies or organizations that have contributed to pioneering overseas markets, expanding exports, and creating jobs.
Gwanglim, which pioneered the first domestic mobile crane in 1979, leads the special purpose vehicle market with innovative products in the fields of electrical work, environment, roads, firefighting, as well as straight and articulated cranes. Furthermore, it is focusing its capabilities on targeting overseas markets for sustainable growth.
Based on this, Gwanglim received the 30 million USD Export Tower Award in 2011 and is recognized as an excellent company holding 33 related patents. Notably, last year it recorded exports worth 36.8 billion KRW to Russia alone and is currently preparing to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ukraine Reconstruction Council.
Additionally, it is accelerating its domestic renewable energy business. Last month, it signed an MOU to establish a strategic partnership with Korea Marine Technology at its headquarters in Cheongju, Chungbuk. The main contents include operation and maintenance of domestic offshore and onshore wind power, design and installation of subsea cables, new business development, and project management.
Moreover, Gwanglim participated with more than 10 booths at the 12th Korea International Construction Machinery Expo organized by the Korea Construction Equipment Industry Association. The Korea International Construction Machinery Expo is the largest comprehensive exhibition of construction technology solutions in Korea and has been dedicated to advancing technology and creating export and demand for the domestic construction machinery industry for over 30 years.
Song Taeyoung, CEO of Gwanglim, said, "This achievement is the result of continuously creating customer- and environment-friendly products and services under the motto of challenge, creativity, and innovation," adding, "We plan to further strengthen products with competitive order-winning capabilities and focus on pioneering overseas markets."
