The kimchi-sharing volunteer activity, held annually without fail since 2020, is especially meaningful as it utilizes agricultural products from local farms facing difficulties in securing sales channels. This year as well, 2,000 kg of kimchi (worth approximately 20 million KRW) made from local agricultural products was directly prepared and delivered to 500 vulnerable households.

Kim Jae-wang, Chairman of the Gyeongbuk branch of the Korean Red Cross, who attended the event, said, “I always feel grateful to Gyeongbuk Development Corporation and our Red Cross executives and employees who gather warm hearts every year for vulnerable groups,” and added, “I hope the warmth is conveyed through the kimchi made with love.”

Lee Jae-hyuk, President of Gyeongbuk Development Corporation, stated, “The kimchi-sharing volunteer activity has become a representative winter social contribution activity carried out by our corporation’s executives and employees to support a warm winter for neighbors in need,” and said, “I hope Gyeongbuk Province becomes even warmer through the kimchi carefully prepared by the Red Cross volunteer group and our corporation’s staff.”
