610 Applicants Exceed Target
54 Courses Including Practical Skills, Ethics, and Gambling Addiction Prevention
Jeju Special Self-Governing Province will operate the 4th training session of 2024 from the 4th to the 24th to enhance the job competencies of casino employees in the province.
This final training session of the year is designed to improve the professional expertise and ethical awareness of casino employees.
The training is conducted through Jeju's self-developed online platform, ‘Casino E-Class,’ offering a total of 54 courses across five fields including casino operations, ethics, and gambling addiction prevention.
Casino operators in the province are legally required to provide training at least once a year to their employees in five areas including job duties and ethics.
Jeju Province organizes its own curriculum and produces new educational content annually to reduce the burden on operators and enhance the quality of training.
For this 4th training session, 610 out of approximately 2,000 casino employees in the province applied, exceeding the target number per session (500) by 22%.
The training curriculum is practical and focused on the latest trends in the casino industry, practical foreign languages, customer service, and gambling addiction prevention, ensuring high applicability in the field.
Experts in each field participate as instructors, focusing on content that can be immediately applied in actual casino settings.
Kim Hee-chan, Director of the Tourism Exchange Bureau of Jeju Province, said, “Foreign visitors to Jeju expect high-quality services along with the continuous growth of the casino industry,” adding, “We hope this training will enhance employees’ professionalism and contribute to strengthening the global competitiveness of Jeju casinos.”
