Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok) is re-announcing the bid for the cargo truck rest area operator at the West 'Con' Phase 1 port hinterland complex of Busan New Port.
Busan Port Authority previously held two bidding rounds in January and March of this year, but both were unsuccessful. The re-bidding period is from December 10, 2024, to January 31, 2025, and the eligibility criteria and conditions remain the same as before.
Detailed information can be found on the Busan Port Authority website in the announcement and selection guide.
Busan Port Authority plans to select and announce the preferred negotiation candidate through a review by a committee composed of external experts, targeting companies participating in the re-bid.
Hong Sung-joon, Head of Operations at Busan Port Authority, said, “We hope many companies will participate in the cargo truck rest area operator bid, which is being implemented to resolve illegal parking issues in the Busan New Port hinterland area and to improve the welfare of cargo truck drivers. We will proceed with the selection of the operator as quickly and fairly as possible within the scope defined by relevant laws and procedures.”
