Yangju Mayor Kang Su-hyun Attends 'Local Civil Defense Leader Training,' Urges Strengthening Regional Security

Yangsu-hyun, Mayor of Yangju City, attended the '2024 Local Civil Defense Captain Training' held on the 9th at the Gyeonggi Textile Comprehensive Support Center auditorium and encouraged the efforts of the officials who are working hard to protect the lives and property of citizens from emergencies and national disasters.

This training, conducted to strengthen the peacetime capabilities of local civil defense captains, was composed of leadership development education and basic civil defense training, based on the training resumed last year.

The training began with a special lecture on leadership development by a professional instructor, followed by communication skills enhancement applicable both inside and outside the organization, and air raid, disaster preparedness, and security education reflecting the current domestic and international security situation.

Mayor Yangsu-hyun of Yangju City stated, “At this time when the security situation is unstable both domestically and internationally, I hope this will be an opportunity to strengthen and develop the capabilities of civil defense captains.” He added, “In case of emergency, I ask you to take the lead in regional security and development as a strong shield protecting Yangju, by preparing for North Korea’s air raids and recovering from disasters in Yangju.”
