Kakao announced on the 10th that it has revamped the shopping tab within KakaoTalk to provide a personalized shopping experience for users.
The new shopping tab enhances personalization features based on user activity data and a curation-based user experience. It improves intuitiveness from the first screen to reduce browsing time for shopping and enables more rational shopping.
Through the shopping tab home tab, various products such as "Hot New TokDeal Opened Today" and "Currently on Sale" are recommended. At the top of the home tab, users can conveniently check their order history, recently viewed products, and favorited items all in one place, greatly improving user convenience.
Additionally, by analyzing individual interests and behavior history, personalized information such as discount details, popular brand recommendations, and giftable friend suggestions are provided. This allows users to easily check content that matches their shopping history and interests.
The shopping tab also offers live benefits from Kakao Shopping Live. Users can enjoy a diverse shopping experience through up to 20 contents, including live broadcasts and replay content. Ongoing live broadcasts and Kakao Commerce big promotion banners suggest gift situations and products to users.
A Kakao representative stated, "The shopping tab revamp was carried out to strengthen personalized recommendations through personalized data and to provide a more intuitive and useful shopping experience by adding new features on the first screen. Starting with this revamp, we plan to complete a shopping space based on personalization and curation."
