Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 10th that it was selected as an excellent institution for address information in Gyeonggi Province's '2024 Comprehensive Land Information Evaluation.'
The comprehensive evaluation of land information in Gyeonggi Province was established to select seven outstanding institutions among the 31 cities and counties in the province that have promoted high-quality administrative services such as protecting citizens' property rights through proactive work performance in each field.
In the address information field, selection was based on 14 detailed indicators including the assignment of detailed addresses, maintenance of address information facilities such as road name signs, improvement of public inconvenience, and special policies.
The city has collaborated with the Uijeongbu Police Station to install solar-powered light-emitting diode (LED) building number plates in vulnerable safety areas without budget, and conducted road name address education for infants and young children. In addition, the responsible public officials appeared in videos themselves to promote address information that could be helpful to citizens, actively advancing address-related tasks that citizens can directly experience, which was highly evaluated.
Not only in the address information field but also in the land policy field, the city promoted special policies such as the creation of type-specific survey manuals for individual real estate (land-housing) characteristics and the notification talk service for development charge payment deadlines. It was also evaluated for efforts to objectively and reliably calculate individual publicly announced land prices and efficiently collect development charges while preventing arrears, receiving public official commendations (one for address information, one for land policy).
Kim Jeong-seop, Director of the Land Information Division, said, “We will continue to actively promote land information tasks to provide high-quality land information services that citizens can directly experience.”
