Yeoju-si Successfully Hosts Child Sexual Violence Prevention Play...Great Public Interest

Held Twice with High Participation Enthusiasm

Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Chung-woo) announced on the 10th that the play "Save the Fairy Tale Village," themed on preventing child sexual abuse, was successfully concluded on the 7th at the Empress Myeongseong Birthplace Cultural Center.

Due to high public interest, the event was expanded from the originally planned single performance to two sessions at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.


The play was organized for the second consecutive year by the Yeoju Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence Integrated Counseling Center to deliver the message of child sexual abuse prevention in an easy and effective manner. Notably, counseling center staff performed live, delivering vivid acting that deeply resonated with the audience.


The play provided a meaningful time by emphasizing the importance of preventing sexual crimes to children and presenting practical directions for child protection to parents. The audience responded enthusiastically to the lively production and instructive storyline.


Kim Mi-young, director of the Yeoju Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence Integrated Counseling Center, said, "Due to greater-than-expected public interest and participation, we prepared additional sessions," adding, "We hope this play contributes to creating a safer environment in the local community."
