Paju-si Unveils Love Temperature Tower... Target Amount 1.1 Billion Won

22nd and 23rd Honor Society Membership Ceremony Held

Paju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 10th that it held the unveiling ceremony of the "Love Temperature Tower" with a vigorous shout toward 100℃ at Geumchon Station Square on the 9th. This event was organized to mark the start of the "2025 Hope Sharing Campaign," hosted by the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea and supported by Paju City, to encourage citizens' participation in donations.

The Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign will run for 62 days from December 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025, under the slogan "Make myself valuable through donation! Make Paju valuable through donation!" This year, the fundraising goal for the Love Temperature Tower is 1.1 billion KRW, and the temperature tower will rise by 1℃ for every 1% (11 million KRW) of the target amount raised.


At the unveiling ceremony, Song Young-ye, CEO of Needle Story Co., Ltd., and Kim Jun-young, CEO of Donghyun Placo, participated in the registration ceremony as the 22nd and 23rd members of the Paju Honor Society, further highlighting the value of sharing. Additionally, Honor Society members, LG Display, social welfare organizations, and various other groups participated, expressing their commitment to spreading a culture of sharing.


Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju said, "The Love Temperature Tower, which appears unfailingly every year at the end of the year, seems to show that the values of sharing and care still live within the Paju community," and added, "Despite the prolonged economic downturn, we will strive to create a society where all citizens can enjoy happiness without discrimination."


Cash donations can be made via bank transfer to the Community Chest of Korea account or through a QR code, and in-kind donations can be made through the Welfare Policy Division of Paju City Hall and the Eup/Myeon/Dong Administrative Welfare Centers. Donations of funds and goods to help neighbors will be supported through the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea to resolve basic living issues and blind spots for vulnerable neighbors in the area.
