Mr. A immediately went to the scene and witnessed a man, Mr. B, causing a commotion in front of someone else’s apartment door. Mr. B was fiddling with his cellphone and speaking incoherently. Instead of an access card, he was holding a regular bank card and repeatedly pressing the doorbell of the apartment. When Mr. A told him, "You shouldn’t do that," Mr. B became even more violent. Mr. A then headed to the first-floor office to call the police. After taking his cellphone, he went back up to the third floor. The moment the elevator doors opened, Mr. B began assaulting him. Mr. A hit his head against the wall and momentarily lost consciousness. Despite this, Mr. B kicked him in the abdomen and continued the indiscriminate assault.
Regarding the situation, Mr. A said, "The elevator doors opened, and before I could take even a step or two, he suddenly rushed at me and pushed me against the wall, causing my head to hit it. I was dazed and sat down," "He kicked my side with his shoe. I tried to escape into the elevator, but he chased me and kept hitting me," he said. Afterwards, Mr. A hurriedly fled to the management office and reported the incident to the police. However, Mr. B continued to follow Mr. A to the management office and repeatedly kicked the door. Mr. B was arrested by the police who responded to the report. Mr. A and other residents said they did not recognize Mr. B. The assaulted victim is currently suffering from physical aftereffects such as a concussion and hematuria, as well as psychological trauma.
Mr. B was arrested as a suspect at the scene and reportedly told the police that he "does not remember due to being intoxicated" regarding the assault on Mr. A. Mr. A’s son, who reported the incident to Sageon Banjang, said, "We have not received any apology from the man himself, only a phone call of apology from his relatives," and added, "My father was very active and cheerful, but this incident seems to have caused him psychological trauma. Once his physical condition improves, he will need psychiatric counseling." He also stated that they will not reach a settlement with the perpetrator.
