The Special Investigation Unit for Emergency Martial Law at the National Police Agency confirmed, "The prosecution sent an official letter suggesting to hold investigative consultations with the police and the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Agency (Gongjucho), who are conducting simultaneous investigations into the emergency martial law case," and added, "The National Investigation Headquarters stated that if all three agencies attend, there is no reason not to participate."

Previously, the prosecution proposed to the police to form a joint investigation headquarters, but the National Investigation Headquarters rejected the proposal, asserting that the investigation of insurrection is an exclusive authority of the police. Gongjucho is demanding that the prosecution and police transfer the case to their agency.
