The Northern Office conducted a safety diagnosis on December 25th last month in collaboration with the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, inspecting the operating status, insulation resistance of distribution equipment, grounding resistance standards, and other safety criteria for the 62 public electric vehicle charging stations in preparation for winter fires, and received a 100% compliance rating.
Hong Seong-deok, the accounting officer of Gyeonggi Province, stated, “We will continue to implement preventive policies such as safety inspections of electric vehicle charging facilities and will make every effort to prevent electric vehicle fires.”
Meanwhile, at the end of July, the province conducted a safety diagnosis on 62 public electric vehicle charging stations for the first half of the year, with 61 stations, or 98%, passing the inspection. For the one station that failed due to insulation resistance below the standard, immediate measures were taken by replacing connection terminals and other components.
