In the statement released under the names of Chairman Monk Jukyung, the chairpersons of the standing committees, and special committee chairpersons, the Central Council said, "The majority of the people support the impeachment of the president, and in reality, the president is unable to perform his duties," emphasizing, "President Yoon Seok-yeol must make a final decision for the nation and the people and take responsibility."

It continued, "(President Yoon) must comply with the demands of the people and the flow of the times," adding, "We hope he does not hide behind chaotic political struggles and a tangled web of laws and systems, thereby fueling the people's anger and worsening the nation's difficulties."

The Central Council acknowledged, "We understand that the issue should be resolved according to the Constitution and laws," but stated, "However, rather than the legally legitimate path that may take a long time, divide public opinion, and waste national power, a wiser path must be sought," asserting, "President Yoon Seok-yeol must resign immediately."
