The Seosan City Daycare Association in Chungnam donated 3 million won to Seosan City on the 7th to support children in need within the area.
According to the city, the donated amount of 3 million won was raised from the proceeds of the "Charity Bazaar for Sharing Love and Hope," which was held by the Seosan City Daycare Association at Solbit Park in front of City Hall on the same day.
About 700 childcare staff and citizens participated in the bazaar, which featured food booths, agricultural product stalls, Anabada booths, and experience activity booths.
After the event, a donation ceremony was held at Solbit Park, attended by Mayor Lee Wan-seop of Seosan, Park Jeonghee, president of the Seosan City Daycare Association, and other related officials.
The 3 million won donation will be designated to the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea to support the independence of children in foster care and children from child-headed households.
Park Jeonghee, president of the Seosan City Daycare Association, said, "I would like to thank everyone who participated in this charity bazaar for sharing love and hope," and added, "I hope that the love gathered by Seosan's childcare staff and citizens will be well delivered to children in need in our community."
Mayor Lee Wan-seop stated, "Despite difficult circumstances, I deeply appreciate the Seosan City Daycare Association for thinking of our neighbors first and raising this valuable donation," and added, "We will do our utmost to make Seosan a great place to raise children."
