This campaign, under the theme "A Safe Daily Life Made Together with Our Attention, Violence-Free Dongducheon!", was carried out by over 40 participants including Dongducheon City, Dongducheon Police Station, Dongducheon Women’s Association Council, Dongducheon Family Center, and Dongducheon Sexual Violence Counseling Center.
Particular emphasis was placed on raising awareness about the importance of preventing not only sexual harassment, sexual violence, prostitution, and domestic violence but also recently socially spotlighted digital sex crimes and deepfake crimes.
Yoon Han-ok, President of the Dongducheon Women’s Association Council, stated, “There are still many people suffering from various forms of violence. We hope this campaign serves as an opportunity to raise awareness about violence prevention and instill the right perceptions.”
Mayor Park Hyung-deok of Dongducheon City said, “Active participation of citizens and cooperation within the local community are essential to creating a safe environment,” adding, “We will spare no policy support to enable civilians, government, and police to join forces and build a robust local community safety net.”
