Seongbuk-gu, Bomun Supgil Library Opens on the 12th

Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) announced on the 9th that it held an opening ceremony on the 7th and plans to temporarily open the Bomun Supgil Library on the 12th.

The Bomun Supgil Library has a total floor area of 489.7㎡ and consists of reading spaces including a picture book materials zone, children's materials zone, general materials zone, and stair reading seats, as well as experiential spaces with two seminar rooms. It houses approximately 14,200 books and 60 reading seats.

The Bomun Supgil Library will be temporarily opened for three months starting from the 12th to identify and address any issues, and is scheduled to officially open in March next year, with the Seongbuk Cultural Foundation's Library Business Department entrusted with its operation.

The district office explained, "The efforts that began in April this year to fulfill the long-standing wishes of residents in the Anam and Bomun areas, where public library infrastructure was relatively lacking, have finally borne fruit," and added, "We expect it to greatly enhance the reading life convenience for residents in the Anam and Bomun areas."

Mayor Lee Seung-ro stated, "The Bomun Supgil Library was created as a space that can be used by various generations together," and expressed hope that "it will provide rest and relaxation to local residents and become a space where they can gain new experiences."
