Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon Attends Cabinet Meeting to Discuss National Crisis Management Measures

The Only Local Government Head to Attend
"Listening to and Speaking on Matters for Cooperation with Government and Party"

Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon will attend the 54th Extraordinary Cabinet Meeting held at the Government Seoul Office Building at 2 p.m. on the 8th. Mayor Oh is the only local government head scheduled to attend the Cabinet Meeting.

Presided over by Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, the Cabinet Meeting will discuss measures to manage state affairs in various fields such as diplomacy, security, economy, and society following the dismissal of the 'martial law emergency situation' and the impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol.

As a mayor with ministerial status, the Seoul Mayor is the only local government head who can attend the Cabinet Meeting and exercise the right to speak. However, since he is not a Cabinet member, he does not have voting rights.

A senior Seoul city official stated, "Mayor Oh plans to listen to opinions and speak on matters to be promoted in cooperation with the government and the ruling party for the prompt resolution of the current situation."
