Choi Sang-mok, Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Minister of Strategy and Finance, stated on the 8th regarding the dismissal of the impeachment motion, "The economic team will do its utmost to maintain external credibility and ensure the smooth implementation of economic policies regardless of the political situation."

Deputy Prime Minister Choi conveyed this message via text to the press corps on the same day. The Ministry of Strategy and Finance, along with other economic ministries, plans to hold an emergency meeting of economic-related ministers in the afternoon and issue a joint statement by the ministers of the relevant departments.

Following this, an emergency macroeconomic and financial issues meeting will be held with the attendance of Lee Chang-yong, Governor of the Bank of Korea; Kim Byung-hwan, Chairman of the Financial Services Commission; and Lee Bok-hyun, Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service.
