Top Instructors of the 1st 'Gyeonggi Teacher Creators' Participate in Core Function Practice
Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Tae-hee) announced on the 8th that it conducted a special training session for digital education material production to strengthen the digital capabilities of teachers with over 20 years of experience. The special training held on the 6th and 7th was titled "I am also a Creator." The title reflects the meaning of sharing "I" and helping "others," as well as the intention to support everyone to easily follow along.

In particular, this training involved eight instructors who were selected as the top performers in educational material production among the first cohort of "Gyeonggi-Teacher Creators" chosen in September. Young teachers and highly experienced teachers joined hands to create materials suitable for the digital education era.
The main contents included ▲ Teachers are the best educational materials (content) ▲ Everyone has a starting point ▲ Photo and video editing process ▲ Social networking service (SNS) utilization process. Trainees participated in various practical exercises as part of the basic course for teacher creators (creators), such as creating thumbnails, producing and utilizing short-form videos, video editing and uploading, and using social networking services (Instagram, podcasts, YouTube). Additionally, various cases of educational activities applying these skills in the field were shared.
The training attracted over 280 applicants for 40 spots, showing a fierce competition rate exceeding 7:1. Kang Jin-hee, a teacher at Wolgot Elementary School who participated in the training, shared her thoughts, saying, "I tried not to fall behind in the digital era, and it was good to be able to ask questions comfortably in a training session targeted at highly experienced teachers."
Lee Jung-hyun, Director of the Educational Capability Policy Division at the Provincial Office of Education, stated, "We will lead educational change through digital capability enhancement training that can overcome generational gaps."
The Provincial Office of Education confirmed that teachers with rich educational experience have a strong interest in strengthening the digital capabilities needed in schools and plans to expand training opportunities in the future.
