Creating a Space for Communication and Sharing under the Theme 'A New School Culture with Investigators'
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Tae-hee) reflects on one year since the introduction of the School Violence Dedicated Investigator system, sharing operational achievements and seeking ways to establish it firmly in the field.

The Office of Education will conduct the "2024 4th Quarter School Violence Dedicated Investigator Capacity Building Training" regionally from the 9th to the 11th. Approximately 560 participants, including School Violence Dedicated Investigators (hereafter Investigators) and education support office staff, will attend.
During this capacity-building training, the effects of introducing the Investigator system and feedback from the field regarding its operation will be shared.
Following this, under the theme "A New School Culture with School Violence Dedicated Investigators," responsible teachers for school violence, vice principals, education support office staff in charge of school violence, and Investigators will present meaningful changes in school sites since the system's introduction and discuss ways to establish it firmly in the field.
One participant working as an Investigator emphasized the Investigator's role in mediating conflicts and restoring relationships between students who are perpetrators and victims of school violence. They stated that Investigators play a central role not only in investigating and handling incidents but also in restoring students' trust and fostering healthy relationships.
Additionally, feedback from the field highlighted that enhancing the Investigators' expertise in "interviewing and handling complaints from parents of both victim and perpetrator students" is the most important aspect.
Accordingly, the Office of Education will introduce various practical cases and methods regarding the attitudes and approaches Investigators should maintain during interviews with victim and perpetrator students and their parents, as well as techniques for handling complaints.
Lee Ji-myeong, Director of the Life and Character Education Division at the Office of Education, said, "Reflecting on the first year since its introduction, we will listen carefully to evaluations and voices from the field regarding the operation of the School Violence Dedicated Investigator system. We will strive even harder to ensure the system is firmly established in the field and to improve it so that schools and teachers can focus on their fundamental educational roles."
