On the same day, Han Kang handed over a jade-colored teacup at the 'Nobel Prize Laureates' Personal Items Donation Event' held at the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm, Sweden.

She introduced in a note prepared together, "'I Tried to Keep Some Routines While Writing Goodbye Never Comes.' (I was not always successful.)"

She further explained, "1. Wake up at 5:30 a.m. and continue writing the next part of the novel I had written until the previous day with the clearest mind. 2. Walk along the stream near the house where I lived at least once a day. 3. Brew black tea leaves in a teapot usually used for green tea leaves, and drink only one cup each time I return to my desk." She also said, "Looking into the bluish inside of this small cup about seven times a day was the center of my daily life at that time."

Earlier, during her first phone call with a Nobel Committee official announcing her Nobel Prize in Literature on October 10, she said, "I want to drink tea. I do not drink alcohol. So I want to quietly celebrate tonight drinking tea with my son."

The teacup will be permanently exhibited at the Nobel Prize Museum. The museum plans to inform visitors of the story personally introduced by Han Kang later. It is a tradition for Nobel laureates to visit the Nobel Prize Museum in the year they receive the prize and donate an item meaningful to them.
